Mardi Gras Venetian Carnival Masks: Mardi Gras

This detailed Mardi Gras mask is made in the traditional Venetian style.  The paper mache face is formed with exaggerated features and decorated with swirling glitter accents in green, purple, and gold.  The jester's shiny, sequined collar and hat curls are wired for shaping, and a real jingle bell dangles from the end of each piece.  Ornate trimmings border each curl and accent the forehead.

This large Mardi Gras carnival mask is made with dual purposes in mind - wear it, or hang it for display.  A full face plastic base is painted in pearlized tones of green and gold and topped with intricate glitter lattices and scrolls.  A large purple faux jewel framed in gold is centered on the forehead. Elaborate brocade fabrics in wired triangular shapes curl around the top of the mask - each with a jingle bell dangling at its end.

This plastic eye mask achieves height and drama with the addition of three brocade triangles that are wired for shaping and taper into real jingle bells.  The luxe fabric panels are bordered with white, black, and gold trim.  The eye mask is decorated with glittered lattice and swirls over a purple and gold metallic ombré finish.
